The Bundesliga club’s chairman is adamant the 19-year-old wants to stay and won’t be moving to the Premier League.Schalke chairman Clemens Tonnies has insisted Leroy Sane is not for sale and has no interest in leaving, amid rumours that Manchester City could be set to make an offer.

The Premier League side have long been admirers of the 19-year-old, who has featured in every Bundesliga game so far this season.

And Tonnies maintains there is no chance a move will happen any time soon.

“We’ve decided Leroy isn’t for sale,” he told Recklinghauser Zeitung. “And the player does not want to leave Schalke.

So that’s not an issue.”
