Many have been so keen to understand the mystery behind the steadfast nature of Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs and his calm approach to issues.
No need to wonder. Chief Lulu-Briggs is one man that has attained the highest state of mental maturity; such that is characterized by the understanding that life is subject to change, and that as humans, we make up a community of imperfect beings who need each other to perfect our individual actions for realizing our collective dreams and aspirations. By this reason, it is therefore incumbent upon us to approach dissent views with tolerance and love. While we will not take comfort in patronizing crass stupidity; we must also make sure that even in the process of condemning the worst action, we are guided by the ultimate desire for peace, unity and progress.

DLB believes that we are all humans created by one God and nurtured at different backgrounds. Our exposure to life vary from one person to another, so, there’s absolutely no guarantee that we will reason and behave alike. But is that a good reason for us not to respect one another and live in peace and harmony? DLB will say no to that.
His thinking is that as much as possible, we must look beyond the individuals faultl-ines and exercise the very faith that everyone has something to offer.
For him, the quest for leadership should be anchored on the desire to offer true service to the people. Anyone with such quest is naturally allowed to make himself available, offer himself to the people and prove to them that he has the needed capacity to serve. One who is aspiring to occupy public position must have the negotiating spirit, you must reach an understanding with the people through a cordial marketing system. No man gets to the position of leadership without the people, so why should anyone upset the system and hurt the people especially by making unfriendly remarks either by proxy or directly?
Every man needs to gain the ability required to deal with the inevitable dynamics of life. Politics derives its substance from change; and this is made more manifest by the factor of political mobility. Until ideas begin to rule political formations, until our polity gains substantial stability, those who are determined to serve and other levels of players in the sector will keep looking for the right assemblage of like minds and progress driven individuals who are ready to form the kind of partnership that will vigorously work towards realizing the society of our dream.
For Lulu-Briggs, the important question is what drives you as an individual. Do you have the material, mental and moral capacity and psychological stability to lead the people? What is your plan for the younger generation, for the indigent widows, for the senior citizens/retirees and for the orphans. What are your perceptions about the working class; the civil servants?What are your projections in terms of advancing our economy, industry and infrastructure. These concerns should burn our hearts and spur us into consolidation. Denigration, aimless and endless exchanges are hardly the instruments that will bring us victory. Respect for conventions, loyalty to institutions, norms and leadership are the fundamental ethics that must be upheld by all of us to guarantee our future success.
