Paul Pogba is to make his second debut for Manchester United in Friday’s Premier League tie with Southampton.
Pogba completed his £89million return to Old Trafford last week but was prevented from making his debut in the 3-1 win at Bournemouth due to a suspension he picked up while playing for Juventus last season.
Despite not playing since the Euro 2016 final, the Frenchman has indicated he is ready to go and Jose Mourinho has confirmed he will feature against the Saints on Friday night.
“He’s ready to play. We played against Leicester with players with less training than him and we look at that match as a way to improve them, to accelerate that process,” Mourinho told MUTV.
“With Paul, it’s a bit of the same – not one single minute of any pre-season match or friendly but almost two weeks of work with us. Sometimes with the group, sometimes separately, and the condition is okay to play some minutes and to accelerate the process.”
