by nadum 4 May , 2016

Angered by the incessant violent activities orchestrated by suspected Fulani herdsmen across the country, Nigerian residents in the United Kingdom have staged a protest at the UK Westminister Parliament.

The protesters, while condemning the killings and destructions by armed herdsmen, called for the attention of global authorities over the wanton killings in the West Afrcian country.

According to Mr. Chidi Ughonu, Coordinator, London Protest Against Fulani Herdsmen, the protest was in response to last week’s attack at Nimbo, Uzo-Uwani community in Enugu State.

The attack reportedly claimed the lives of over 30 persons with scores wounded and properties destroyed by suspected herdsmen.

While noting that similar attacks had happened in Agatu, Benue State, Ughonu said the protest tagged the ‘London Protest Against Fulani Herdsmen’, was also planned simultaneously in United States, Canada and across the cities in Europe.
