Former Delta State governor, James Ibori has arrived Nigeria from the United Kingdom.
Mr Ibori arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Saturday morning en route to Warri, Delta State.
The Spokesman to Mr Ibori, Tony Eluemunor, confirmed his arrival to Channels Television.
He is expected at Oghara, his home town later today.
On Friday, the confiscation trial of Mr Ibori commenced at the Southwark Crown Court, U.K, where he appeared before Justice David Tomlinson, if found guilty he might have to forfeit his asset estimated to be about 250 million pounds.
Mr Ibori who was released on December 21, 2016, from Bedford Prison, U.K after being jailed since 2012, is facing another charge on the confiscation of his assets.
The judge, Mrs Juliet May ordered his immediate release; a judgement Ibori’s spokesman described as a major victory against the British Home Office, at the Royal Court of Justice, Queens Court 1, London.
Counsels to the Home Office, however wanted him to remain in detention after he had served his jail term.
