Special Assistant to former President Gooduck lonathan on Domestic Matters, Dudafa Waripamemowei, was yesterday taken into custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Dudafa was arrested by the operatives of the Department of State Service, DSS, at Lagos airport and handed over to the EFCC.

Spokesman of the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed the arrest last night. Dudafa was said to have received N10 billion from former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd), for onward distribution to  Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, delegates in 2015.

The money is said to have been handed over to him by the ADC  to the former President, who was also detained for weeks. Dudafa is said to have disappeared from th country in the wake of the scandal and the security agencies have been on his trail ever since the former President left office.
