Breaking news: INEC Declears APC’s Obaseki Winner – Edo Decide 2016

Godwin Obaseki, the All Progressives Congress (APC) party candidate in the gubernatorial election in Edo State, has won the contest in the two-way race with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), winning most of the votes. Pastor Ize-Iyamu of the PDP came second in the votes collated and announced by INEC.

Total result as announced by the Returning Officer, Prof. Kayode Soremekun, are: APC: 319,483; PDP: 253,173; APGA: 876, and LP: 182.

PDP’s agent, Chris Agbonwanegbe, refuses to sign the result sheet, which he said was “rehearsed and produced”.
