Supporters of an ex militant leader have allegedly set fire on the campaign office of Senator Magnus Abe in Bori, Gokhana local government area, Community sources said this was after soldiers allegedly invaded the Yeghe residence of the exmilitant leader.

Details were hazy at press time. But community sources said the residence of the ex militant leader was razed down during the military operation.

A text message to the spokesman 2 Brigade Captain Eli Lazurus had not been responded to at the time of this report.

But a top security source said there were massive troop redeployment to the communities.

Media aide to Senator Magnus Abe, Mr Parry Benson also declined comment when contacted, promising to get back.

But Senator Magnus Abe in a text message alleged that the PDP burnt the campaign office.

The ex militant leader had earlier accused Senator Abe of using soldiers to harrass him ahead of the rerun elections slated for March 19.
