Explosions have reportedly hit Dalori Quarters in Maiduguri, Borno State.
According to Vanguard, this was confirmed in a text message sent by the Head of Information, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in Abuja, Sani Satti.
“Our Search and Rescue officers are already on their way to the scene; details later,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Civilian Joint Task Force reported that the explosion occurred after a suicide bomber stormed the Dalori quarters mosque in the early hours of Tuesday, during the morning prayers, killing self and one other worshipper.
Few meters from Dalori quarters is the Internally Displaced Persons camp, home to 23,000 people.
