The Court of Appeal sitting in ABUJA has nullified the election of Senator Olaka Wogu, the Senator representing Rivers South East in the National Assembly.
Normally, when the court nullifies an election, it usually orders rerun election within 90 days. But in the case of Magnus Abe, the case is special. The Court of Appeal, after nullifying Olaka NWOGU’s election, ordered that a rerun election must be conducted by INEC within 60 days, not the normal 90 days.
That means that after today, INEC has only 59 days to conduct a rerun election in Rivers South-East!
