Ojukaye Flag-Amachree, a former chairman of Asari Toru local government area and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State today worked out of the gates of the Port Harcourt Prisons a free man following the ruling of the Court of Appeal which granted him bail yesterday.
An Appeal court in Port Harcourt has granted bail to the former Local government Chairman of Asari-Toru Local government area and a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ojukaye Flag-Amachree.
Ojukaye was facing a two count charge of murder before Justice Margaret Opara of the High Court in Port Harcourt.
Prisiding Judge, Justice A.A Gumel said Justice Opara exercised improper judicial discretion for refusing to grant bail to Ojukaye despite sighting verifiable medical reports from three Medical Doctors stating the deteriorating Ill-health of the accused.
