Going to the movies should be a pleasurable, stress-free experience, but you know Nigerians always have to be different. Here are some characters you’re sure to come across in a Nigerian cinema.

1. The touchy couple.

These ones can’t get their hands off of each other, and their tongues are permanently stuck in each other’s mouths . The worst part is that they think the darkness is enough to cover them, so they do some really nasty and distracting things sometimes.

2. The questions guy

This person acts like they forgot their brain at home and makes no effort whatsoever to understand the movie. They ask questions after every scene like you’re the producer of the movie and you’re not just seeing it for the first time too.

3. The nanny

This person decides that the best way to babysit is to bring a child to the movie hall. The child will spend the whole movie crying and taking bathroom breaks. It’s the absolute worst.

4. The commentator

This person takes it upon himself to pass commentary and cracks dry jokes alongside. He will never let you enjoy the movie in peace with his unsolicited commentary.

5. The Business man

This person is constantly on his phone, either receiving phone calls or sending text messages. Makes you wonder why they even bothered to come to the movies in the first place.
